Worship is a Time to Give God Thanks and Praise
We use a variety of worship services during the year. Most are from our primary worship book, the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship Book. The church calendar, found in the monthly Good News newsletter, details the special services throughout the year. Holy Communion is celebrated each week and all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord are invited to participate.
During worship services, Children’s Time Plus is available for children second grade and younger. Children leave the sanctuary after the children’s message and participate in a supervised activity. Children return to sit with their parents after the sermon.
Supervised child care for children three years and younger is offered during worship services and during the education time.
Become a Participant in Worship Services
There are many opportunities for you to be involved in worship! You can join an usher team, help with serving communion, assist with reading, use your musical abilities in any of the choirs, operate the sound and lights board, help with the children’s ministry, and many other options. About 100 people help with each of our worship services, making each a meaningful time with God and one another.
Special Services
The church year offers a variety of opportunities to grow your faith and to experience worship through different services. One of the most popular has become our Electric Gospel where you will hear contemporary music performed.
From Advent at the beginning of the church year, to Christmas when we celebrate Christ’s birth and include children in the Christmas program, through u sing the Holden Evening Prayer service during Lent, we offer varied worship experiences while being grounded in our Lutheran heritage.
We are a Part of the ELCA
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has 10, 470 congregation throughout the United States and the Caribbean. We belong to the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the ELCA.
Lutherans believe in the Triune God. God the Father created us and loves all of creation. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, who saved us from sin, transforms lives through His death on the cross and His new life. And God’s Spirit is active in our lives and in the world.
