Music Ministry
Cherub Choir
For children age 4 through second grade, Heather Hammond leads this group in an early introduction to music practice and performance. Practice is every Wednesday during the school year from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. The choir sings at a worship service once a month.
Christus Choir
Youth who are in grades three through five join Heather Hammond in offering their music gifts in this choir. Practice is every Wednesday during the school year from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. The choirc sings at a worship service once a month.
Sunday School Music
At the beginning of Sunday School, Heather Hammond leads the youth in singing, and has also utilized dancing and rhythm instruments. They prepare for performances during worship services and the special Christmas program, and overall the music supprts the lessons learned during education time.
Songs and Supper
Children and their parents are invited to this special time from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.where they can enjoy a pizza dinner and fellowship with others of all ages involved in the music program here.
Middle and High School Choirs
For youth in sixth through eighth grades, a middle school choir is led by Debbie Schneider.
For students in grades nine through twelve, Debbie Schneider leads a high school choir.
The middle and high school choirs practice regularly throughout the year on Wednesday and Sunday. They also participate in worship services on a regular basis.
Youth Praise Band
High school musicians who play a string, brass or wind instrument connect on a regular basis, and with adult volunteer leaders from the congregation, provide upbeat musical offerings for worship. Scott Winkler directs the band.
Chime Choir
The children of the Christus Choir from time to time perfom solo and also accompany the Cherub Choir using the muscial instrument chimes.
Bell Choir
Senior high youth and adults are invited to participate in this choir. Debbie Frick, who leads the Sheboygan Community Bell Choir which also practices here at church, is the director of the bell choir. Practice is held on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.
Electric Gospel
Select musicians have formed a vocal and instrumental group that leads the congregation in the electric gospel service. Contemporary Christian songs are typically part of the service.
Sanctuary Choir
Senior high youth and adults comprise this choir which shares musical talents throughout the year. Led by Wayne Wildman, practice is every Wednesday from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. This choir leads the congregation in worship about three times each month as well as participates in many special worship services.
